Pure saffron in stigmas grown in the hills of Caltagirone in Sicily, respecting organic and sustainable agriculture. Saffron belonging to the 1st category with ISO 3632-1: 2011 certification Saffron enriches, colors and enhances flavors and can be used from appetizers to desserts, in particular with rice, seafood, shellfish, stewed meats and delicate sauces. We recommend adding the spice after cooking, thus avoiding losing flavor and aroma and infusing the pistils in a little warm water for about 30 minutes before using them. Particular attention must also be paid to the dosage: for 3/4 people 0.15 grams of spice or about 5 pistils per person are sufficient.
