Tillandsia Caput Medusae - Medium

Air plant: Tillandsia Caput Medusae This is really a special air plant. This air plant with the name Caput Medusae is really a special air plant. The air plant has tentacles like leaves and on these tentacles are trichomes. Trichoms are small gray hairs known as leaf scales. The Tillandsia absorbs moisture via the leaf scales, while the trichomes protect the plant against burning from direct sunlight. This plant eventually gets very curled leaves, super nice to see! (the drier the tillandsia is, the more it will curl, so this also means that it needs a little more water or put it in a bath of rainwater for an hour) Difference in size of the Tillandsia Caput Medusae medium and the large: Often the convex underside is a lot thicker with larger dimensions, and the tentacles/leaves are longer. The Medium size is therefore a smaller plant, about 10 cm. Do not place your air plant in full sun, but in a light spot. A little watering once a week is enough. If you place this plant in a bath with lukewarm water, make sure that no water gets into the bottom, shake it well and put it upside down for a while.
