🌿 This nut is the fruit of a giant and wild walnut tree reaching 50 meters in height and 2 meters in diameter. Native to South America and endemic to the Amazonian forest, its importance also lies in its ecological component since its exploitation helps protect the Amazonian forest from deforestation. The Brazil nut is the only species on the world nut market which is not cultivated but which grows spontaneously in the forest.
