🌿 Quinoa is a seed grown for more than 5,000 years in the highlands of the Andes between 2700 and 4000 meters above sea level. Like potatoes, quinoa was essential in the diet of the Incas. 🌞HARVESTING PROCESS The seeds are harvested in the highlands of Peru by the CAGMA cooperative, a producer of Andean seeds, and committed to fair trade and organic farming. The cooperative brings together producers who need to sell their products at a good price for the development of villages and to get out of great poverty. ⚡️NUTRITIONAL BENEFITS Naturally gluten-free, quinoa is an excellent source of vegetable protein. Quinoa promotes intestinal and cardiovascular health. 🧑‍🍳 PREPARATION TIPS Rinse with water before cooking. Dosage: 1 part quinoa for 1.5 parts water. Put the quinoa in a pan of cold water before bringing to a boil. Do not pour quinoa into boiling water! Then cook for 20-25 minutes over medium heat. Red quinoa lends itself more to salads and cooked dishes. Red quinoa is slightly firmer than white quinoa; so it keeps its shape better after cooking.
