Dame van Dalfsen
Ambachtelijk Vechtdal Brouwerij

Lady of Dalfsen

The Dame van Dalfsen was brewed to enhance the archaeological resources in Dalfsen from the Merovingian period (early Middle Ages). We were inspired by a classic beer type: the oatmeal stout. We used grains that were available at that time: barley, spelled and oats. We have brewed a dark beer with these ingredients, with an EBC of about 100. The beer has a light bitterness (IBU 36) with a nice smell of some English hop varieties, such as Fuggles and Kent Golding and has a soft taste with a fruity aroma. but with a light touch of roasted malts. All in all a fine and drinkable beer. oatmeal porter
