The story of Ammaca begins with a simple observation: the need to combine comfort and elegance in our modern daily lives.
Thanks to a beautiful encounter between Brittany and Morocco, we have created a collection that embodies sophistication without sacrificing comfort.
Much more than a brand, Ammaca is the symbol of a fusion of family stories, heritage, creativity and passion for craftsmanship and beautiful materials. It finds its origins in the family stories of our founders, Hadj and Blandine, both textile professionals.
Hadj's grandfather, a weaver in Fez, was already making this unique material: a 100% viscose* fabric with breathable properties providing incomparable comfort, fluidity and drape. Originally used to make traditional clothing, this material, called Sousdi, guarantees a feeling of softness and lightness with each wear.
On the other side of the Atlantic, in Brittany, Blandine's grandmother passed on her know-how in sewing and textile creation to her with love and patience. It was this passion for beautiful materials that naturally pushed Blandine to become a stylist.
Our commitment to quality, style and durability guides every step of the development of our collection. From weaving to dyeing to manufacturing, all pieces are made in the same place: Fez in Morocco.
At Ammaca, we do not do assembly line work but work with our small workshop of around fifteen workers: each seamstress makes your garment from A to Z and only produces 3 pieces per day. The workshop is ICS and BSCI certified, which guarantees that the working conditions of employees comply with social responsibility rules.
Once your garment is made, it will be dyed and then washed in a small dyeing workshop, Oekotex** certified to give it its final appearance.
This artisanal manufacturing process allows us to produce small quantities and have a wide choice of colors.
A single journey from Morocco to France, a limited carbon footprint and made-to-order manufacturing to avoid overproduction and unnecessary stocks.
