The vase is made of ceramic, dark brown color, the flower is made of wood paper with a cotton wick. Use: Pour room fragrance (not supplied) into the vase then immerse the flower in the vase. The scent will rise up the flower by capillarity and diffuse into the room. It is a natural diffusion that requires neither batteries nor electricity.
