If you want to mount this knob set on a historic front door, please note the following: Note on installing the door fitting: Most historic front doors had a backset of 10 x 10 mm. For this reason, please measure the existing mandrel or the lock nut dimension! In our shop we offer a sleeve which can reinforce the standard supplied 8 x 8 mm mandrel, which fits all newer doors, to 10 mm so that the knobs do not wobble. The sleeve is simply plugged on, so you have no problem installing it on old doors. See the relevant photos for this.
