Appleyard and Crowe was born out of the passion for art. The Founders, Premkumar and Sharanya, are avid connoisseurs of paintings, metal statues, and wood carvings. They started collecting paintings from around the world since 2010 and had been promoting them in various platforms. When they embarked on wood carved statues, they found the fascinating world of whittling and how it is a well-known hobby of beginner artists. They started looking around for toolkits that can help beginners make their own carved pieces.
Hence, Appleyard & Crowe was established as a brand in 2018 starting with whittling kits. The passion led us to wood carved artisan products and the ways they can enhance the beauty of a home naturally. We partnered with artisans from Tunisia and developed home & kitchen products carved straight out of aged olive wood. The Founders make frequent trips to Tunisia to ensure high quality of the products and making sure the workers are treated fair.
This decorative and appealing design will enhance the beauty of any home and bring a sense of nature into it. All of the products are designed and handcrafted by artisans.
Embarked on a mission to expand our product lines into Sandalwood and Mango wood in the next year, we are quite excited to offer more to the customers.
We have raving reviews on our Etsy shop. We are proud about the journey thus far. We are looking to expand into fair-trade mom-and-pop gift shops pretty soon.
