Our annual production is very limited, not exceeding ten kilograms per year, which makes it a rare and precious product. The bark collection is carried out locally by women, perpetuating an ancestral traditional gesture. Boiled water from the bark is also traditionally used after childbirth for intimate care. My attachment to this essential oil began during a stay where I slept in a Katrafay wooden bed. Its natural and soothing scent instantly seduced me, awakening the idea of designing scented wooden beds, far from industrial standards, to promote deep and restorative sleep.
