We use the Anglo-Saxon nomenclature to maintain a consistent name throughout the catalog: Size 3.00" / Size 4: King height 80 Size 3.50" / Size 5: King height 90mm Size 3.75" / Size 6: King height 95mm Size 4.00" / Size 7: King height 100mm What size chessboard should be used with this set of chess pieces? Size 3.50" pairs perfectly with our Size 5 (48x48cm) chess boards. This is the most used format of wooden pieces in competition and also the most popular choice. The top size (3.75) requires a slightly larger tray (Size 6 - 54x54cm) which looks great but can be quite bulky in a small space. If you are looking for a particularly practical format, opt for the smallest size of chess pieces (3.00") which will go perfectly with a Size 4+ chessboard (44x44cm).
