Straight razor Handcrafted and handmade by our manufacturer. Handle made of natural Rosewood wood. Double-edged square blade. A straight razor requires special maintenance because it is used daily. This interview mainly consists of carefully carrying out two operations. -Drying your straight razor and sharpening the blade with a strip of leather, called a "strop." If you do not dry your blade properly after each shave, rust may occur. Which will subsequently require more extensive restoration if you wish to continue using your favorite straight razor. Just as important as this first operation, regular sharpening of your blade will ensure optimal cutting quality. Without this, the edge of your straight razor blade will lose its bite and may make your shave much less effective and uncomfortable. How to properly dry your straight razor: Drying is a very important step to perform after every shave! We recommend running your straight razor under hot running water, then wiping it thoroughly with a soft cloth without rubbing. If you only use your straight razor occasionally, we recommend applying a greasy agent to the blade (e.g., vaseline oil between shaves). All our straight razors are sold with a leather case which will allow you to keep the razor in a safe place. If properly maintained, a straight razor can be kept and used for a lifetime. Good to know, a straight razor resting every other day will more or less regain its original sharpness.
