Hello and Welcome to Beautiful Bandanas - soft, funtional chemotherapy headwear especially suitable for anyone suffering hairloss due to cancer or alopecia.
Beautiful Bandanas was founded by Cathy and Liz when Cathy’s father and a mutual friend were both undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Cathy designed and made them both a bandana from gorgeous Liberty jersey fabric as a gift, which we hoped as well as being practical would be an uplifting experience for them too. We also discovered that as Cathy was also going through a difficult time personally, designing and making these bandanas turned out to be a therapeutic and uplifting experience for her as well. As these bandanas were received so enthusiastically it encouraged us to continue and with the help and support of friends, Beautiful Bandanas was born.
We are passionate here at Beautiful Bandanas about making beautiful, functional head wear for everyone but especially for anyone experiencing hairloss due to chemotherapy treatment. All our headwear is lovingly made in Suffolk from high quality jersey/knit fabric, including our favourite Liberty of London, which has a soft and stretchy quality to it, making it easy and comfortable to wear, and is completely machine washable. Our headwear is available in lovely cool cotton jersey perfect for summer wear or gorgeous viscose jersey which is slightly heavier and drapes beautifully. We strive to make all our headwear accessible and affordable for everyone and try where possible to use and support local businesses, and pay a sustainable and fair wage to our employees.
All our products are reversible - giving you two for the price of one!
All our products are completely reversible giving you the choice of two contrasting vibrant colour schemes for the price of one, to suit all tastes and occasions. We offer two sizes of adult Bandana, standard and large, a one-size reversible BuffDana, BeanieDana, SnooDana and HairDanas. Children’s Bandanas are available in various sizes and DoggyDanas in a variety of sizes, suitable for most breeds of dog. Bespoke and matching Bandanas/BuffDanas and DoggyDanas can be made on request.
We are committed to supporting cancer charities and are proud to be working with Macmillan and will make a donation from every Beautiful Bandana sold.
