With its pronounced citrus note, the fresh lemon basil refines various drinks such as cocktails and lemonades - and is an excellent spice for fish and seafood. The red romaine lettuce is rich in vitamin C and minerals. Its juicy, crisp leaf is the perfect accompaniment to olives and goat cheese. The red-brown-edged lettuce tastes milder and slightly sweet. If only the large, outer leaves are harvested, the hard-working plant produces again and again for several weeks. How does it work? Very easily! Insert the supplied seeds into the PlantPlugs and these in turn into the slots of the GreenBox. Fill the tank with water and watch your greens grow! After about 4 - 6 weeks you can enjoy your first harvest. The PlantPlugs Our PlantPlugs are made from coconut fiber, a by-product of the coconut industry. They keep their shape when in contact with water. Because they emit almost no particles, they are very clean to handle. In order to provide your plants with good care, the PlantPlugs are enriched with a mineral fertilizer. Of course they are 100% biodegradable and free of pesticides, fungicides, insecticides, genetically modified organisms or other dangerous substances. For even faster growth, we recommend the new GreenBox booster. Package content: In our PlantPlug sets you will find everything you need for your first harvest with the GreenBox. In addition to 8 dimensionally stable plant substrates, we have also put together 4 different types of seeds for you. For a PlantPlug you need ½ packet of seeds. You can equip your entire GreenBox with one set. Material & Procurement: A PlantPlug consists of mineral fertilizer coated with coir fibers, which are procured as a by-product of the coir industry. If a PlantPlug comes into contact with water, it retains its shape and is therefore an ideal mediator of liquid and nutrients for the plant. The plant substrates that we currently source from Holland are 100% biodegradable and free of pesticides, fungicides, insecticides and other foreign substances. Our BerlinGreen seeds come from Germany and Poland. Storage: Before the plant substrates make their way to us, they are thermally treated. This ensures a long shelf life and the exclusion of foreign bodies such as insects. So that you can keep them for a long time at home, you should keep them at room temperature in a dry and light-protected place. Just keep the PlantPlugs in the package that came with them and they can give you pleasure for up to 3 years.
