What exactly is Damiana? Damiana is the above-ground part of the plant (Turnera diffusa) that grows in South America. The plant is then cut into small pieces and can be used as Herbal Mix and can also be used in tea. What's in Damiana? Damiana contains between 0.5% and 1% volatile oil complex (thymol, alpha-copaene, 8cadinene, calamene, 1.8 cineol, alpha-pinene, beta-pinene, calamene), which gives the plant its characteristic smell and taste.
