White Wine La Carmina Albariño 2024 D.The Rías Baixas | Tamaral

This wine is 100% Albariño. From vineyards in Arbo, in the far northwest of Spain (Rías Baixas). Production begins with a cold pre-fermentation maceration in the press itself, after the harvest passes through a heat exchanger that reduces its temperature to less than 8°C. This cold rest allows for optimal extraction of aromas before direct pressing. The following day, racking is carried out for static settling, and the must subsequently ferments slowly between 10 and 12°C for at least two weeks. The result is a bright, clean and expressive straw-yellow wine. On the nose, it displays a good aromatic intensity, with notes of tropical fruits such as pineapple and passion fruit, citrus nuances, and a refreshing touch of mint. On the palate it is tasty, fruity and fresh, with excellent balance and a dry finish. Its clean and persistent retronasal elegantly evokes fruity and herbaceous notes. Perfect pairing: rice dishes and paellas, especially with seafood or vegetables, tempura, gyozas or tatakis.
