It is with joy that we offer these pretty colored mirrors in bright and shimmering colors, (with the exception of black) made with great application by Moroccan women, it was Khadija who made this one. This mirror brings a colorful, exotic touch, and transmits a bit of the Moroccan sun. The colors can vary according to your interior and your desires (do not hesitate to ask us for tailor-made). Its manufacture is eco-responsible as well as its natural material, the doum (palm leaf). We saw Khadija working, she works at home in the distant suburbs of Marrakech she mainly makes handicrafts in rafia but we asked her to make some in doum (palm leaf) the rafia is not a local production it comes from Madagascar. So she made this mirror. In an ecological concern of carbon footprint, we want the materials used to be local as much as possible. Moroccan and Berber women are very skillful and skilful, they are major actors in Moroccan craftsmanship. They work with natural materials, such as doum or raffia, but also rope. They make suspensions, lampshades or all types of everyday objects in basketry (basket, placemat or others.) And here our mirror. The doum is a palm tree, growing in North Africa in arid lands, there are many in Morocco. Its leaves are used in basketry, natural and durable material, very decorative they can be braided, colored, very appreciated for a bohemian chic decoration. We are committed to working in a short circuit with artisans. Collaborating directly with women's cooperatives or artisans directly means allowing them to earn more than going through a wholesaler.
