Hot, hotter, Calisso. With the Calisso whetstone you can restore your kitchen knives to their former sharpness. The coarse grain of 400 will bring the blade of your knife back into shape. Even small damages to the blade, such as dents or breaks, can be easily ground away. The grain is perfect for basic grinding as the coarse grain removes a lot of steel. With the grain size of 1000, the blade can then be repaired even more finely and regains precision. A grain of 1000 is mostly sufficient for normal knives and provides the main sharpening. However, you will not be able to fully regain your usual Calisso sharpness. For this and other very high-quality knives, it is best to use a whetstone with a finer grain. The included roughening stone helps to create the polishing paste from water and the abrasion from the stone and can also be used to even out unevenness on the stone after grinding.
