We have finally gone and developed a way to enjoy our awesome coffee in a compostable, plastic-free capsule with a Carnival Coffee Roasters favourite; Libia Tangarife coffee. Quick and on the go ethically sourced coffee in a capsule that you can just pop in the food recycling when you are done. Please note these capsules are not compatible with the Vertuo machine but all other machines. About the awesome coffee in each capsule: TASTES LIKE: Hazelnuts, Berries, Candy, Hint of Floral MOUNTAIN: 1,850+ MASL VARIETY: Castillo , Colombia PROCESS: Fully washed PRODUCER: Libia Tangerife ROASTER NOTES: "A smooth and sweet coffee with quirky floral notes and a nutty mouth feel, we are excited about sharing a coffee from female producer, Libia Tangarife in a compostable capsule" NOTES FOR DRINKING: This coffee makes a lighter cup than your supermarket bought capsules and pods, and isn't the punch in the throat hit. It is much more subtle, giving the beans and their unique flavours the respect they deserve. We think it works best as a short shot with foam or a longer shot on its own. These little capsules ideally works even better on a speciality coffee pod machine such as Capsule One machine. It is not compatabile with the Vertuo machines but all other Nespresso machines. Libia Tangerife grows coffee on Finca La Florida in Buritica, Antioquia. Her fully washed coffee is mouth watering with its candy sweetness, berry, nut and hint of floral notes. Due to the small size of Libia's farm; Libia and her family do most of the work and harvesting themselves. Coffee cherry is selectively hand picked and then pulped in a classic pulper. Libia wet ferments the coffee and then washes it in clean water. The coffee is then sun dried on raised beds for 6 days. In addition to coffee, Libia also plants plantains and bananas. This is a special micro lot release and the second in the series of strong female producers, badged as strong sister espresso - look out for this badge on our labels celebrating female producers. Located in the Andes Mountain range, Antioquia has a wealth of micro climates. As you may have guessed this one of our favourite coffee origins as our family coffee farm is also based in Antioquia.
