Authentic Tonga / Binga Basket

These baskets are made by women in Zimbabwe Weaving is an ancestral art for Southern Africa. It is transmitted from generation to generation within the Tonga and Binga tribes. It is entirely handmade from Illala palm leaves and natural dyes from roots and bark. Traditionally used to transport grain, it has been transformed into a chic and bohemian decorative object.
