The hunt

Spanish Language Family Game, 1-2 players, 10+ years and games of 25-40 min. September 1939: The commander of the Admiral Graf Spee is ordered to sink as many British cargo ships as possible in the South Atlantic. The aim is to intercept ships crossing the Atlantic and prevent supplies from reaching the UK and other destinations. The plan seems to work in the first few months. In a few weeks, the Admiral Graf Spee sinks nine cargo ships and sends almost 50,000 gross registered tons to the bottom of the sea. The gigantic loss puts the army command in London's Whitehall under pressure. To protect its cargo ships in the best possible way, the Admiralty has no choice but to reinforce the English fleet in the South Atlantic by sending three cruisers in what is known as "The Battle of the River Plate." The Chase is an asymmetrical duel in which one player assumes leadership of the British Royal Navy, while the other represents the German Kriegsmarine. Each player has their own deck of cards. For the German side to win, they must remain hidden from the British while sinking five freighters. The British player must hunt down and fight Admiral Graf Spee in a final naval battle, in which the side with the least damage wins. Will the Royal Navy be able to take advantage of its numerical superiority, or will the Kriegsmarine be the one that, with its cunning and refined strategy, manages to overthrow its rival?
