Rainbow constellation socks

Rainbow constellation socks, designed in Paris. I designed these constellation socks shortly after completing my PhD in Observational Astronomy. Humans have been finding patterns and shapes in stars for thousands of years, and using them to tell stories and find their way at night. In 1922, the International Astronomical Union (IAU) formalized a list of 88 constellations based on Ptolemy's list of Greek constellations from around the 2nd century CE. This pair of socks shows some of the 88 official constellations in the night sky. Can you spot your favorite? The rainbow background follows the same sequence of colors as the visible part of the electromagnetic spectrum, for increased scientific integrity! I designed these luxury socks in my Paris studio, and they are made by a small independent company in the UK. Their high cotton content means they are super soft and of the highest quality.
