The photo is of Mercedes Caballero, a lady torera originally from Madrid who rose to fame before the Spanish Civil War and continued practicing throughout the 1940s. The photo was sourced from El Rastro, the famous antique market, and was taken in 1946 by studio Pizarro in Madrid. Will bring a touch of nostalgic glamour to any interior.
