Cherries began their triumphal march in 74 BC. The Roman general L. L. Lucullus brought the first cultivated cherries to Rome. From there, the delicious fruits spread rapidly throughout much of Europe and became native there. It was not only the Romans who were enthusiastic about the first cherry trees, which gradually established themselves in the landscape and whose pretty white blossoms ripened into red, plump fruits. The cherry, as we know it today, is rightly one of the most popular stone fruits. With CHERRY DELUXE we pay tribute to the dark red fruits. Gently dried and with an intensely fruity cherry flavor, even the ancient Romans of the Roman Empire would be big fans of our homage to this large fruit, which carries with it concentrated fruit sweetness.
