Only the best Robusta beans are used for the Dersut Marrone coffee. This ensures that even though the mix only consists of Robusta beans, it is still a very tasty coffee blend. Robusta plants grow in places no higher than 600 meters. This makes them more vulnerable to diseases and parasites. The plant protects itself against this with caffeine, which creates a strong, bitter taste. Robusta coffee contains twice as much caffeine as Arabica coffee. This gives you that little bit of extra energy during your working day for when you need it. it is therefore also an excellent coffee for the morning or just after lunch. Due to the high percentage of robusta beans, the coffee has an extra thick and beautiful crema layer and smells delicious.
