Royal Ski Runner

The concept is not new, comparable devices have been on the market for some time, but were not exactly in the spotlight until recently. The change started when members of the Crossfit community adopted the device as their own, later it was also used by fitness trainers and athletes involved in specific strength sports. Why has a device that imitates the movement of cross-country skiing gained popularity? The first advantage is in increasing the (muscle) endurance. For example, when we do push-ups, we are not held back by a lack of air, but by the acid that builds up in the muscles. The more endurance we train, the more we can achieve. The cross country simulator is one of the few devices that focuses on upper body muscle endurance. The muscles of the back, shoulders and chest will be most exposed when exercising on the device. Another advantage is that your joints will not suffer during the training. This training is also suitable for people who have suffered a neck or back injury in the past. Have you ever heard of the triple extension? This is the third reason why the cross country simulator is so popular. We usually start the exercise in a slightly bent stance (think jumping on a plyobox: bend the knees and hips slightly first to get a boost) and then fully extend. This is a triple extension typical of most Olympic weightlifting, jumping, or sprinting exercises. On the simulator, the exercises are performed in reverse order, which is good for extra stability and strength. After all, the new way of moving is a shock to the body, which has been proven to help with faster progress.
