The nail drills, called ring drills or pre-drills, are small practical tools. They can be used to pre-drill holes in soft wood, for example to fasten a screw without tearing the wood. The pre-drill can be held by the loop made of wire and drilled into the wood with a little pressure, a small hole is enough so that a screw or similar can be countersunk in the pre-drilled hole.
