We are often asked whether the support pole of a side awning can be removed after installation. With this ground plate this is actually possible! If you want to use your side awning and want to be protected from the sun, wind and prying eyes, simply slide the lower part of the pole into the ground bracket. If you need more space on your patio or in your garden, pull the bracket out again and roll up the awning.
