Don Camillo is a small man with a big heart and an even bigger mouth. 

He is the parish priest of a small village in the Po Valley in Italy and has a passionate relationship with his community, but also with his political opponent, the mayor Peppone. 

Although Don Camillo often argues with Peppone, he is always ready to lend a helping hand in case of need. 

He is a real "man of the people" and always has an open ear for his followers. 

In his free time, Don Camillo enjoys a good grappa and a game of boules with his friends. 

He's someone who's always good for a joke and a smile.  Don Camillo has a very close and personal relationship with Jesus Christ. 

He often speaks to Jesus, usually in the form of a statue in his church, and expects answers from him. 

Jesus often appears to him in dreams or visions and gives him advice in difficult situations. 

Don Camillo also has a very strong spiritual practice and lives his faith in his own vibrant way.
