Organic Soapnuts, Indian Soap Berries - 500g

When our little girl turned 1, she suddenly developed Eczema. We tried so many changes both in our diet and in our daily habits, and one of the things that made her condition improve massively was the swapping of supermarket cleaning products with natural, organic alternatives. Chemicals in laundry detergents made her skin itchy and led to frequent flare-ups, but when we started using natural Soapnuts, the change in her skin was almost unbelievable! • No fillers, foaming agents, bleach, phthlates, phosphates or parabens. • 500G refill will last for approx 240 washes. • The refill comes in a paper bag, without muslin bag - Soapnuts have • Anti-fungal and anti-microbial • Cruelty-Free • Palm-oil Free • Suitable for vegans • 100% Organic • Phosphate and SLS-free • Hypoallergenic, they are a great detergent alternative for allergy sufferers and people with skin conditions, including eczema, dermatitis and very dry skin. Please keep in mind there are no added chemical agents, so if you have particularly dirty clothes we recommend soaking them in water beforehand and apply soap on the toughest stains. Inside the bag, there will be a mix of whole and broken shells. This does not affect the efficacy of the soapnuts. There also may be a variation of colours due to the time the soapnuts were harvested, which also doesn't affect their efficacy. Ingredients Pure 100% Organic Sapindus Mukorossi (soapnut) dried fruit shells 100% unbleached cotton muslin bag for machine-washing How To Use Laundry: • Put approx 4-6 in a muslin bag (or any mesh bag), add a few drops of essential oil if you want to add scent to your laundry. • If you use them with cold water (below 30 degrees) kick start their natural cleaning properties by putting them in a mug with hot water prior to use. • Close the bag and pop into the washing machine with your clothing. • You can use the same bag of soap nuts 5-6 times before putting them in the compost. It will last up to two weeks. • You can use liquid soapnut for shampoo, face wash, multi-purpose cleaner and natural pesticide. • You can use the same soapnuts for approx 4-6 washes, once they start they start to turn dull grey and the shells become flimsy you can go right ahead and place them in your compost as they are 100% biodegradable Product Packaging EarthBits Soap Nuts with bag come in a reusable, biodegradable muslin bag. Upcycling is one of our favourite zero-waste habits here at EarthBits! Meet EarthBits First off, thank you for visiting our website! We starting our own journey as a zero-waste family with a clear goal in mind to make meaningful changes in our habits and lifestyle; our mantra has always been “have less impact on the planet, create less waste, and become better, more sustainable consumers”. In our quest to swap plastic or disposable products with durable, plastic-free and less wasteful alternatives, we found there were companies we fell we could trust completely. These companies are now part of the EarthBits family and we are very proud to collaborate with them and showcase their products on this site! On the other hand, we also found there were a lot of other products that were advertised as “eco-friendly” but didn’t seem to us as sustainable or ethical as we wanted them to be. With that in mind, we decided to launch our own brand of products, sourced from small, often family-run suppliers we can fully trust. All our products have a story to tell, and they have been made with our beautiful Earth in mind! I hope you will love them as much as we do!
