Brown jasmine rice 500g - BIO

Jasmine rice is a type of long-grain rice recognized for its mild flavor and distinctive aroma. Also known as Kao Hom Mali, it is a variety native to Southeast Asia and highly appreciated in gastronomy for its unique fragrance. For years it has caused some confusion in the West, where many believe its name comes from its supposed resemblance to the scent of the jasmine flower. Although its fragrance is intense and pleasant, it has no direct relation to the flower itself, except for its color. When the grain is polished, it reveals a white, shiny and slightly translucent hue. This appearance led to its being dubbed "white jasmine flower rice" in the 1950s, a name that was later simplified to "jasmine rice."
