(see below for full honey description) Scottish Gift set honey includes our: Hot toddy A classic winter warmer, we take two of our most comforting Scottish kinds of honey, heather and rapeseed, and then blend in a dash of smokey whisky. Ideal for cold nights, this honey is the ideal addition to any hot toddy recipe you might already have, just add more whisky! Also brilliant in tea for a slightly more tasteful alternative. Hand-packed in plastic-free packaging here in Edinburgh. Heather A Scottish staple, this wonderful honey ride right on the fence between rich dark honey, and light floral honey. With a rich dark flavour, with an almost bitter savoury note, that compliments the high floral tones, this honey is a great all-around, versatile honey. Churned so it is ideal for spreading and scoping, and delicious when melted into tea. A true taste of the Scottish moorlands, proudly hand-packed in plastic-free packaging here in Edinburgh. Scottish Blossom Honey – what is it? Our customers often ask “what makes Scottish blossom honey so tasty and appealing?”. The answer is pretty simple. Whatever is in bloom, bees will find it and make honey out of it. In the early spring, we get very light and delicate blossoms mostly from apple blossoms and rapeseed that are being farmed on the estate. Later throughout the summer bees forage on local trees such as: Linden, Willow, Oak, Chestnut as well as on clover, phacelia, and other wildflowers which grow in abundance around the apiary. The Falkland apiary is one of our most productive sites due to the biodiversity that bees get to live in and the fact the farm is fully organic which makes it an ideal environment for our bee sisters.
