Since 2003, Les Editions Nicée has been the publishing company for reproductions of paintings from the work of Michel Pelletier.

Michel PELLETIER, a talented painter!
It was at the age of 15 that this artist had his first exhibition in Lyon!
He masters the two pictorial techniques, oil painting with a knife and watercolor with a brush.
Student of the Lyon painter Antoine POCHET.
In 2003, the artist collaborated with the Galerie Nicée to reproduce his works on different media (reproductions, books, postcards... )
The Nicée gallery is managed by his son Ludovic.
Below is a text from the artist on his painting technique, which he wrote himself:
“I very often paint in my studio from the sketches and photos that I collect during my travels.
I memorize colors.
I prefer this method to painting on the pattern. This allows me to use my imagination on the colors that my memory gives me. My brain filters the colors that I apply and transmit to the viewer.
By working on the pattern we risk copying verbatim what we see. There is less “Feeling”.
Moreover, by using my method I amass a quantity of subjects in a very short time. "

1980 - Annapurna Hotel in COURCHEVEL, Serrières Biennale, Sofitel Hotel in LYON, annual show in Oullins where he won the silver medal. EUROPART in Grenoble, PASTEUR Institute, REGAIN Salon in Lyon, Sévigné Medical Center, Mornant Salon (acquisition of the city).
1981 - PETERSEN Gallery in Lyon, Salon de Givors (acquired by the City)
1982 - Hôtel Carlina in COURCHEVEL 1850, Jacques MARTIN, Lyonnais restaurateur, made it known to a large audience of amateurs, followed in LYON by exhibitions at the GOURMANDIN, La PASTOURELLE and GARIOUD, Galerie Chantal AUDIBERT in Ecully, and obtained the prize of honor of the Salon du Sud-Est. Record Radio FR3 Lyon broadcast.
1983 - Hélène Gallery in LYON. Sends his paintings to CHILLINGSWORTH-GALERY near BOSTON (USA), Galerie LANGLOYS in Lyon (currently Crozatier), Hôtel FRANTEL in Lyon. (today Radisson Hotel, La Part-Dieu)
1984 - DECITRE bookstore Place Bellecour in Lyon, regional fairs of TERNAY, RIVE-DE-GIER, TREVOUX, CHAMALIERES where he won the City Prize, Galerie des GRANGES in Lyon, Galerie HELENE, Auberge des Vieux Moulins in ST TROPEZ, and 2nd shipment to CAP COD near BOSTON.
1985 - THE TUFTS UNIVERSITY in Talloires, Galerie de l'Atelier in Feurs, Galerie Taille Douce in Roanne, LA MAISON DE LYON in September 1985 Place Bellecour in LYON, personal exhibition where success was irresistibly confirmed. He creates watercolors of famous Lyon restaurants such as ORSI, LEON DE LYON, LE BISTROT DE LYON...
