Emma has a mouth to spit FIRE, two wings to fly through AIR, four legs to walk on LAND, and lots of scales to swim in WATER. The dragon is an animal that, in some cultures, brings together and dominates the four elements: earth, water, fire and air. For this reason it throws fire, it has wings, it has scales and it has legs. In addition, it protects and attracts good luck. The daily life of Emma, the little dragon from the East, is narrated in a poem made up of four stanzas that are linked to the four elements that the dragon represents, as well as the four seasons of the year. Marta Cabrol's illustrations are full of small details and tenderness, with lines and tones that invite us to recollection, and that make Emma an ideal goodnight story.
