OLIVE OIL DELTA 5 LITERS

The growing area of Messara, on Crete, is close to the sea at an altitude of around 400 metres. The ideal climate and the nutrient-rich soil of the region create uniquely fruity and high-quality olive oils. Every year, from the beginning to the middle of November, we harvest the local olives of the Koroneiki variety, laboriously by hand. The Koroneiki Olive is one of the most popular in Greece and its oil is one of the best in the world. The olives are taken to a modern oil mill within six hours of being harvested, where they are processed under the best hygienic conditions. With oxygen reduction, they are cold-extracted at a temperature of 25 degrees, immediately filtered and filled into dark bottles (to remain stable and qualitative longer). The uniqueness of this oil is the unusually fruity taste, but also its natural aromas, which harmonize wonderfully with bitter and spicy nuances. The high proportion of polyphenols (approx. 350mg/k), natural antioxidants, vitamin E, excellent organoleptic properties and a very low acidity (less than 0.4%) lead to the production of a premium class olive oil. Enjoy it with fresh salads, antipasti, vegetables, fish, meat and cooked dishes. Also ideal for frying and cooking.
