Felix Nadar's giant balloon, or as it is baptized, Le Géant, made its debut in Paris on Sunday, October 4, 1863, in the Champ de Mars when it was launched at 5 p.m. The promoter of this huge balloon was Gaspard-Félix Tournachon, better known by the pseudonym Nadar. He had made history in 1853 when he mounted his camera in a tethered balloon and took the first aerial photographs. We also sell matching frames in a variety of colors. Different format or paper?
