1KG Factory Coffee Signature Blend Beans

Our signature blend is well balanced and beautifully sweet, roasted by North Star Coffee Roasters [https://www.northstarroast.com/]. It brings together a mix of components from the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais (in the Cerrado), the Jinotega region in northern Nicaragua and the birthplace of coffee itself, Ethiopia. It is smooth and rounded with notes of toasted nuts, caramel, stone fruit and milk chocolate. The three coffees we have selected for Factory Coffee’s blend this season mix nutty, caramel-like, stone fruit and milk chocolate notes to build a balanced profile of flavour to suit those who enjoy their espresso drinks with or without milk. Our relationships with the Montanari family in Brazil support ecologically progressive agriculture (they are reforesting rather than deforesting) working to recreate a healthy ecosystem in Minas Gerais, Patrocinio. In Nicaragua we have partnered with Caravela Coffee in Nicaragua to find a washed process, mixed varietal coffee from 65 small-scale coffee farmers forming the El Madroño group. This coffee adds depth and a little vibrant acidity to the otherwise chocolatey base of the Brazilian coffee from the Montanari farm Fazenda Rainha da Paz. To round the blend off, we’ve added a 10% component of washed Ethiopian coffee to add more complexity and aroma through fruity nuances of apricot and mango.
