Maria Long Necklace - Round Multicolor Chain

Since the disappearance of our XL Virgo quartz pendant, I was looking for a new variation of the miraculous medal in a larger format. And then I came across this medal, an interpretation of the miraculous created in the early 19th century by a parish that I have not yet been able to identify. A more singular, more refined version of the Virgin, simply surrounded by stars and rays, crushing the serpent as in the original version. But beyond its unique aesthetic, it was the message that struck me. Unlike the classic prayer where Mary is referred to as “conceived without sin,” this medal seems to address itself directly to the person wearing it: “no stain is in you.” More sober, less solemn, it carries within it a broader symbolism - that of inner strength, resilience and the value that we retain, despite trials. The chain is made of stainless steel and decorated with round multi-colored stones. The Virgin pendant is gilded with fine gold.
