The Beginning
When Richard Bye (Co-Founder) couldn’t find cycle wear large enough, he and his wife Lynn (Co-Founder, MD) started a business specialising in gear for all sizes of cyclist. Fat Lad At The Back had been Richard’s cycling nickname for 15 years so was an obvious choice for a quirky, fun, inclusive cycle wear brand.
We now offer the largest size range of premium mens and women’s cycle wear on the market.
Our Gear Fits
We didn’t just size up our gear, we’ve re-designed traditional templates to fit and flatter the larger cyclist.
We Care
We don't make 'throw away fashion'. Our gear is ethically made to last, in factories we have visited and by people we know so that we can be sure that we are meeting staff welfare, garment quality and environmental standards.
We Challenge
It's not just about making the finest cycling clobber, we continue to challenge cycling stereotypes and break down barriers so that everyone can love riding as much as we do.
