Ylang-ylang is a tree that can reach 30m, native to the humid tropics of India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines. It grows in humid forests with high rainfall, along roadsides, in fallow land and in agroforestry systems. Its flowers are distilled for 18 hours. I import this oil in fair trade: the farmers are paid the fair price, and part of the sales is used to finance a library and an associative crèche.
