Gift set of 5 naturally dyed upcycled fibers for fabric collage, visible mending, slow sewing, felting and fiber arts. These upcycled fabrics were individually hand-dyed in my studio. I love dyeing sustainable, second-hand natural materials with plants. This palette of yellow, gold, and green offers a variety of patterns and textures in an assortment of silk, cotton, and velvet, with wool embroidery floss. These unique textiles are perfect for experimenting and letting your creativity run wild. They are perfect for collage, embroidery, doll making, visible mending, quilting, slow stitching, fiber arts, flea journaling, nuno felting and home decor projects. SUSTAINABLE MANUFACTURING | Recycled fabric bundles are a great way to incorporate sustainability into your textile craft projects. These textile bundles are also a great way to build your sustainable materials collection, as upcycled and plant-dyed fabrics have a lower carbon footprint than new materials. FABRIC | This gift-sized pack includes 4 pieces of fabric and 1 wool embroidery floss. This is the package you will receive, and it will arrive in a 14cm x 20cm clear biofilm compostable cellophane bag. •Green Silk Fabric (Weld/Indigo) | 15cm x 13cm • Golden Yellow and Green Resist Dyed Silk Charmeuse Fabric (Weld) | 14cm x 13cm • Pale Yellow Semi-Sheer Floral Cotton Fabric (Weld) | 16cm x 10cm • Yellow Silk/Rayon Crushed Velvet Fabric (Weld) | 15cm x 8cm • Golden Olive Yellow Wool Embroidery Thread (Weld) | 2 meters RECLAIMED MATERIALS | These hand-dyed fabrics come from reclaimed clothing and vintage materials that I have selected, washed, and then carefully taken apart to ensure I can use almost 100% of the garment. Deconstructing clothing takes time, but there are already so many beautiful fabrics that can be used as a sustainable option for projects. DETAILS | Pieces with unusual shapes have been calculated based on their size, and there may be small imperfections and mottled colors. I have done my best to accurately represent the true shades of these fabrics, but each computer monitor will display their colors slightly differently. CARE | These materials have been washed/scrubbed, mordanted (set so the natural dyes adhere to the fibers), hand-dyed, rinsed, and ironed. Naturally dyed fabrics are best hand washed with pH-neutral detergent, line dried, ironed with a low iron, and stored away from direct sunlight. DELIVERY | I will refund any difference in shipping costs over €1.00 and am happy to combine shipping costs for multiple purchases. I ship all my items in TUV certified home compostable biofilm cellophane bags and recyclable cardboard envelopes.
