Gift set of 5 naturally dyed upcycled fibers for fabric collage, slow sewing and textile arts. These upcycled fabrics were individually hand-dyed in my studio. I love dyeing sustainable, second-hand natural materials with plants. This color palette of orange, beige, brown, cream, pale yellow, and peach offers a variety of patterns and textures in an assortment of silk, cotton, and leather, with recycled linen yarn. These textiles are perfect for experimenting and letting your creativity run wild. They are perfect for embroidery, collage, visible repairs, quilting, slow stitching, fiber arts, thrift journaling, felting and home decor projects. SUSTAINABLE MANUFACTURING | Recycled fabric bundles are a great way to incorporate sustainability into your textile craft projects. These textile bundles are also a great way to build your sustainable materials collection, as upcycled and plant-dyed fabrics have a lower carbon footprint than new materials. FABRIC | This gift box includes 4 pieces of fabric and 1 recycled linen thread. This is the bundle you will receive, and it will arrive in a 5" x 7" clear biofilm compostable cellophane bag. •Pale Golden Yellow and Peach Marbled Cotton/Silk Fabric (Osage Orange/Madder) | 5.5" x 4" • Peach and Cream Marbled Leather Fabric (Madder) | 11.5" x 5" • Beige and Peach Patterned Self-Stick Stripe Silk Fabric (Walnut/Madder) | 5.5" x 4.5" • Orange and Brown Resist Dyed Silk Fabric (Walnut/Madder) | 4" x 5" • Brown Reclaimed Linen Yarn (Walnut) | 2 yards RECLAIMED MATERIALS | These hand-dyed fabrics come from reclaimed clothing and vintage materials that I have selected, washed, and then carefully taken apart to ensure I can use almost 100% of the garment. Deconstructing clothing takes time, but there are already many beautiful fabrics that can be used as a sustainable option for projects. DETAILS | Pieces with unusual shapes have been calculated based on their size, and there may be small imperfections and mottled colors. I have done my best to accurately represent the true shades of these fabrics, but each computer monitor will display their colors a little differently. CARE | These materials have been washed/scrubbed, mordanted (set so the natural dyes adhere to the fibers), hand-dyed, rinsed, and ironed. Naturally dyed fabrics are best hand washed with pH-neutral detergent, line dried, ironed with a low iron, and stored away from direct sunlight.
