Gift set of 5 naturally dyed upcycled fibers for fabric collage, visible repairs, slow sewing and fiber arts. These upcycled fabrics were individually hand-dyed in my studio. I love dyeing sustainable, second-hand natural materials. This palette of yellows, creams, grays, and golden olives offers a variety of patterns and textures in an assortment of cotton, linen, rayon, and vintage lace with recycled linen thread. These textiles are perfect for experimenting and letting your creativity run wild. They are perfect for embroidery, collage, doll making, visible repairs, quilting, slow stitching, fiber arts, thrift journaling, felting and home decor projects. FABRIC | This gift box includes 4 pieces of fabric and 1 recycled linen thread. You will receive this set in a transparent 18 x 13 cm biofilmed cellophane bag, certified compostable. •Cream and Yellow Heather Cotton Fabric (Plucked Acorns) | 5.5 x 4.5 in • Olive Gold Linen Fabric (Walnut/Pomegranate/Iron) | 6 x 3.5 in • Gray, Yellow, and Cream Patterned Rayon Fabric (Weld/Iron) | 5 x 4 in • Yellow Vintage Lace Fabric (Weld) | 4.5 x 4 in • Tawny Yellow Reclaimed Linen Thread (Osage Orange/Weld) | 2 yd RECLAIMED MATERIALS | These hand-dyed fabrics come from reclaimed vintage clothing and fabrics that I have selected, washed, and then carefully unraveled to ensure I can use almost 100% of the garment. Deconstructing clothing takes time, but there are already so many beautiful fabrics that can be used as a sustainable option for projects. DETAILS | Pieces with unusual shapes have been calculated based on their size, and there may be small imperfections and mottled colors. I have done my best to accurately represent the true shades of these fabrics, but each computer monitor will display their colors slightly differently. CARE | These materials have been washed/degreased, mordanted (fixed so that natural dyes adhere to the fibers), hand-dyed, rinsed, and ironed. Naturally dyed fabrics are best washed by hand with a pH-neutral detergent, line dried, ironed at a low temperature, and stored away from direct sunlight.
