The history of FRIDA'S TIERCHEN began in Barcelona, with the birth of my daughter Frida. Motherhood is a transformative experience for many women, and in my case it also changed my professional course, starting this adventure. For me, who came from the world of art, it was a great discovery to look at the world of childhood. I realized that many of the toys on the market tend to be garish and hyper-stimulating in design, and often of very low quality.
This is how I began to dream and create the dolls that would accompany Frida during her childhood, prioritizing the quality of the materials and aesthetics as a value. Living with Frida is a source of continuous inspiration. As she grows, her playing needs change, and I try to find the best option for each stage. Being aware of the importance of the game in its development, I take special care of the designs, which are simple and leave room for creativity and imagination. This is how the dolls, animals and accessories of Frida's tierchen have been born one after another; initially created for my family and friends, they have been filling this project that continues to grow day by day, game by game, detail by detail. All products are carefully conceived, with an original and timeless design, which preserves beauty without saturating the senses and gives each product a personal character.
THE QUALITY
The quality of the materials is the basis of the making of Frida's Tierchen. I use natural fibers such as cotton and wool, which provide organic qualities and are biodegradable materials. The fillings are made of polyester fibers, which allow the doll to be washed and maintained. They come from the recycling of plastic bottles, in the process of which no chemical transformation is carried out. Undoubtedly, the quality of the materials used is a factor that increases production costs, and at the same time is one of the main values of Frida's Tierchen, which can be perceived and enjoyed in the final product and which ensures its durability.
THE PRODUCTION
Each of the Frida's Tierchen dolls and accessories is made by hand, carefully working each piece. It is a subtle quality that, however, the child can perceive.
Today, Frida's Tierchen is a small family business, with an artisan character, created to offer game materials full of beauty and quality to our children, and with the desire to be able to live that same quality by harmonizing work and family life.
