Organic Chestnut Honey

The organic chestnut honey from I Frutti del Sole tends to crystallize very slowly and irregularly or even remain liquid. This is due to the high concentration of fructose. In the liquid form its color is amber, quite dark and with red-greenish shades. The taste of this honey is very characteristic: it is not particularly sweet and has a slightly bitter, pungent and slightly acrid aftertaste. It is produced in the foothills of Etna. It is particularly rich in mineral salts and is recognized as having sweat-reducing, expectorant and blood circulation-stimulating properties.
