I LOVE YOU or ILY for short is probably the best known and most popular hand sign from sign language. The little finger stands for the "I", the extended index finger and thumb for the "L" and the little finger and spread thumb for the "Y". The latter is basically like the Hang Loose character. The symbol is usually used as a generally valid symbol and is intended to express a positive mood.
