However, these people do not appear in international refugee law. It - the climate crisis - hits the part of the world particularly hard that has contributed the least to global warming: the global south. The main culprits, on the other hand - the western industrialized countries - have the financial means to protect themselves largely from the consequences of the crisis. We call on politics and business, just like millions of other people, to act now! So that the 1.5 degree target can be achieved. So that millions of people don't have to leave their homes. So that the following generations keep their living space. So that important and complex ecological habitats are preserved and species extinction does not continue at this rate. To politicians: face your assignment and finally get active! Do not make your decisions at the expense of future generations and poorer countries and in favor of your lobbies.
