Founded in France by two enthusiasts, Les Échiquiers du Roi offers a collection of handcrafted chess sets, designed to enhance the European art of living.
Our ambition: to make the game of chess an object of transmission, at once decorative, refined and durable.

Our chess boards are made in Europe from carefully selected woods. We work with several woods: maple, walnut, ash burl, mahogany, rosewood, olive, ebony, etc. Our pieces are hand-turned in solid wood - boxwood, acacia, ebony, sheesham, padouk, rosewood - and demonstrate a rare attention to detail.
A commitment to authenticity
We work exclusively with artisan workshops to guarantee the quality and traceability of each piece. Some models are presented in our signature box, an orange case that embodies the contemporary elegance of the brand.
