BROOCH MAN'S HEAD IN PLEXIGLASS The Sicilian legend tells the story of love between a Moor and a young woman, their passion and the omission that would have cost him his life. In fact, in the East the Moor had a wife and children waiting for him. The beautiful Sicilian blinded by jealousy kills the man in his sleep and beheads him. He then transforms the beloved's head into a sort of vase, and plants a basil sprout in it. Only in this way would the Moor be his forever. She could have kept it on her balcony, watered it with her tears every day of her life. The Testa di Moro Uomo brooch is inspired precisely by this legend, symbol of Sicilian culture. The maxi brooch, in laser-cut plexiglass, depicts the face of the Moor with crown and turban, richly decorated with citrus fruits, prickly pears and chillies. All worked in micro composition.
