Genora 2021 organic orange wine

Genora pays homage to the first orange wines, studied and created 4,500 years ago in Georgia. Through this sensational vintage, Gérard Bertrand displays a radiant wine. Its orange color gives the vintage solar reflections during the day, comparable to golden tiles. Genora is an original organic wine dating back to the origins of the first wines which carries its innovative character in its color. Vinification & Aging Genora comes from an old and traditional winemaking technique. First, the white grapes are vinified and then fermented in whole clusters, like red wines. This particular fermentation, combined with the stems and the skins, brings its unique color, remarkable with golden reflections and a very unique tannicity. Genora is composed of exceptional grape varieties, mainly Mediterranean: Chardonnay and Grenache Blanc provide volume; Muscat and Roussanne complete the aromatic complexity of the wine. The choice of grape varieties and the control of the vinification make it an orange wine of remarkable finesse and subtlety. Tasting Notes The nose is complex, with an explosion of aromas of white flowers, candied fruits and white pepper. In the mouth, we find a freshness, certain very delicious aromas, with the right notes. Soft and tasty, its texture absorbs the palate. Finally, Genora offers a beautiful length which continues the taste journey and a fine bitter hint which awakens the taste buds. Food & Wine Pairing Génora will pair perfectly with aperitifs, cheese boards but also with Indian and Asian cuisine. The wine is tasted at 12°C to appreciate all its freshness and minerality. Its complexity and the richness of its palate will be appreciated at 14°C. Learn more about orange wine
